The cops are right there watching a student getting chocked out and they're doing nothing, Lmao 🤣

Ohms Nuttachai • 1 year ago

Yes. That scene was very bad. In manga and LN, it was shown that the gang started the riots and the police didn't have enough hands to control the situation but I'm anime they just looked at that leader strangle a kid without doing anything. I facepalmed so hard at that scene

Anime & Rutabagas • 1 year ago

I mean what's that tiny rope going to do lol

I didn't even notice that lmao!

I have also noticed how this anime gets like 5x the comments the smartphone isekai gets. Must be the henti-esque fluid animations xD!

Seosamh Wray • 1 year ago

The opening likely helps too. Plus this is new rather than just the second season of what many already dismissed as a mediocre isekai.

Admin • 1 year ago

I can't stand the smartphone anime tbh. Even tho this isn't like "top tier" isekai or whatever....at least it's somewhat unique.

Frodi • 1 year ago

Very true

go1 • 1 year ago

Its the kirito as MC VA.
Manga itself was translated only to 20'ish chapter as far as i remember so it was super quick read,so quick that it took me like 10 mins.

skynight • 12 months ago

theres a smartphone isekai?? never heard of it I'm assuming its bad based on your comment lol

Leo Aestron • 1 year ago

I actually can't believe they used rope instead of handcuff.

What I can guess was the author probably was drunk when writing this part.
Because he wanted to write isekai story, and medieval fantasy stuff kinda mixed in to modern one.
In the past when we dont have handcuff, they use ropes instead on criminals. I guess that's where the author begun to mix both worlds into 1 XD

Lobstronomous • 1 year ago

They had handcuffs on. The rope was tied to the cuffs and around their waste in order to keep them restrained. There looked to be many more criminals than cops so they have to use things like this to keep them from being able to cause more issues.
A comment above mentioned that the LN has this as a full scale riot that would only lend more credence to their being need to rope them together.

Leo Aestron • 1 year ago

Didn't notice it.
But, yeah you are right, the rope is important in this situation. It makes sense after you said it, bind all criminals together so they can't run away easily.

Jibril • 1 year ago

When there' that many people. The cops wouldn't have enough cuff on hand. The ropes are actually better since they won't be able to run since they'll end up dragging everyone else too.

I just hope they show how the cops are using their baton or something to stop the gangleader instead of just watching him choke the heck out of someone.

Leo Aestron • 1 year ago

They said in Light Novel, the cops actually went into a fight with the gang during that moment, but in anime they didn't animate it.
Sad though, it was such an important part too :(

kodi_cody • 1 year ago

I just find this whole ordeal hilarious. 😂

Archie Andrew's 1000 • 1 year ago

Agreed and also facepalming with that amends teary eyed moment with those twins with the apologies to they're brother was so weak and cringy.

Goddamm • 1 year ago

Wished the leader killed ll the two though

wwlaos • 1 year ago

For me, that was the single worst moment in the show so far. >_<

also yuuya using conquerors haki was lowkey fire lmao

Rurple • 11 months ago

LMAO yeah

Roberto • 1 year ago

Lol we all know what would happen in a wuxia manhua to his brother and sister :D, they would be courting death and be done in one move without mercy. I miss this sometimes in japanese mangas who are weirdly passive when the MC is in trouble.

Lobstronomous • 1 year ago

Yeah, the crying was cringe. But him having mercy on them is an ok thing. He needed to beat some of them up a bit more to drive the point home, and maybe a slap to the two siblings. But anything more than that would go against his kind nature.
Killing dangerous creatures and monsters is not the same as killing one of your own kind.

I mean a bit, I thought for a just a frame the police were trying to grab the dude, so the message got trough to me. Still, clearly the scene was downgraded, it could have been much more impactful had it been respected.

Abby Chan • 1 year ago

In the anime they ran out of budget to get more gangsters in the scene lol

Dick Festival • 12 months ago

Just draw stick figures in bike jackets.. excuses lol

GivehertheD • 1 year ago

isn't great that brat got choked lol

Matt90210 • 1 year ago

Im sure in the manga, they still did the same thing, but change the fight scene with the boss. When he was cuffed, he broke it off, knocked a cop out strangled youta then go after the sister. Knock boss out again and same end scene

ala • 1 year ago

and MC save the girl from Ball was completely different in the manga it was way better cuz he hold her when she fall as well kick the ball in the same time , RIP they ruin it

Matt90210 • 1 year ago

Indeed. Im sure theyll do the rest like that in the season

JDC • 1 year ago

considering the adult police's arms were literally 1/4 the size of the gang leader's arms i doubt they were any kind of use. Now if they were american cops, that mofo be shot dead, done deal AMERICAN JUSTICE FK YEAH! lmfaooo

Vampressqueen Colvin • 1 year ago

🤣

QuadL • 1 year ago

Correct me if I'm wrong, but since they let the head of the gang have some rope, literally, he did end up snitching on who masterminded the whole affair. Plus they didn't have to soil their own hands with police brutality charges. Plus it looks like the masterminds were pretty much ready to confess by the end there...

Demma • 1 year ago

Is that common in manga vs anime? Manga not being cliche and actually thought out while anime just being a dumber version of the well thought out manga? Cuz what I said actually makes sense instead of what we just saw

KFA • 1 year ago

It depends. Sometimes anime is actually better because it patches plotholes and changes/removes cliche manga content.

Deeves • 11 months ago

Kind sir, where do you read LN? I tried looking them up in Google, but all I got were empty links. Would you be so kind to share the link where your read LN?

Rustin Landis • 1 year ago

Thank you for clearing up what went down in that scene.

Nan Demo K(Nai)ves • 1 year ago

Yeah it took some moments before the policeman said something, they should have taken action a lot quicker, even if it did nothing they should have done something instead of staring at a kid losing his life.

Archie Andrew's 1000 • 1 year ago

They were acting like background NPC's in a game.

QuadL • 1 year ago

Wait, what!? They weren't?

kodi_cody • 1 year ago

Exactly lmao, Don't understand how they became policemen. 😆

Nitin Nishant • 1 year ago

Japanese cops (except those that operate around yakuza areas) are famous for being pretty useless. They patrol on bicycles, aren't allowed to carry guns, and even aren't physically trained well.

Nikko Sisou • 1 year ago

depends on the tier of cops too. Different tiers of cops dependent on what they can even do. They got pseudo military forces that are counted as cops just like how swat is still considered part of the police in the states.

That said the police situation in japan is alot more complicated than I've said.

Dick Festival • 12 months ago

Cop: WOAH! Look at that muscle strength! :O

kodi_cody • 12 months ago

LMAO

naliux • 1 year ago

Don't let the Texas police hear you they might get offended

A disappointed Trash Bin • 1 year ago

you'd be surprised that they're a lot less trained compared to America lmao.

Gustav Kuriga • 11 months ago

"Trained" US Cops are trained, but the training is absolutely dogshit.

Glosty • 1 year ago

Texas col May shoot you on the spot not even a trail would save you lol 😂

JDC • 1 year ago

meanwhile america has cops that look like ronnie coleman... well he was actually a cop so yeah.

Dick Festival • 12 months ago

Gotta understand the cops. Everybody gets mesmerized once in a while, even policemen seeing kids getting choked by ogre-men
